Weekly Reminders This week we will be holding Hispanic Heritage Presentations. Presentations will be held in the lunchroom on Tuesday. Parents are welcome to come and sit in. Gym classes will be rescheduled Tuesday morning. Gym classes shall remain the same throughout the rest of the week. Please remember to wear your gym uniform. 5th graders we will be starting chapter 2 this week. Please be aware of vocabulary words on all five lessons in the chapter. We will be going over those words on Monday in class. Vocabulary words are due in your classwork notebook by Thursday. Please remember to have them ready for Thursday.  In chapter 2 we will be covering the Native Americans and the time period in which they were settled in the U.S. Some key objectives we will be working on is identifing possible explanations on how people came to live in the U.S., explain how early people hunted,lived, farmed, and also understanding how changes in the environment affected peoples' lives. REMINDER: SCHOOL CLOSED MONDAY OCTOBER 14 and TUESDAY OCTOBER 15 Hello to everyone! It is going to be a very eventful week so please be aware to changes in the schedule this week. First and foremost there is no school on Monday and Tuesday so the first day back this week will be Wednesday. October 16 is the Hispanic Heritage Music Presentations. Students will be presenting musical renditions in the auditorium. Gym classes will be subject to change depending on how long it takes. Parents are welcome to come and watch! Thursday, the 7th and 8th grade will be going on a trip, so those of you who have gym with them.... COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!!  5th Graders Chapter 1 Test will be on Wednesday, October 16. Please review the study guide given to you on google classroom, as well as worksheets in your folders. The Hispanic Heritage Projects are also due on Thursday, October 17. Hello to October! Lots of changes this week. Please be aware of schedule changes for this week. Tuesday is class picture day. Student are reminded that classes in the morning will be rescheduled due to pictures being taken in the auditorium. Students will be able to change into gym uniforms after pictures are taken. Wednesday, October 9, is Fire Prevention Day. Firefighters will be in the school teaching kids about fire safety. Classes will be rescheduled.  Students in 5th grade should be getting ready to start working on Hispanic Heritage Presentations. Presentation details have been given to kids and has been posted on google classroom.  I will also post information here on the blog. We will be going over more information this week during classes. In class this week, we will getting ready to take our first chapter test. Students should be reviewing all the work we have been doing in notebooks as well as workbooks.
