  WEEKLY REMINDERS BLACK HISTORY MONTH PRESENTATIONS WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY FEBRUARY 28.  5TH GRADE PRESENTATIONS WILL BE HELD IN 3RD GRADE HOMEROOM AT 8:30 AM. PARENTS ARE WELCOMED. THURSDAY MARCH 2ND IS DR. SEUSS DAY. STUDENTS ARE WELCOMED TO DRESS UP AS THEIR FAVORITE DR. SEUSS CHARACTER. COSTUME CONTEST WILL BE HELD AT 10 AM. PARENTS ARE WELCOMED. FRIDAY MARCH 3RD IS AN EARLY DISMISSAL DAY. STUDENTS WILL BE DISMISSED AT 12 NOON. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will take their Chapter 3 Exam in class on Monday February 27. Students will also be given time during the day to work on Black History Month Projects. Presentations will be held on Tuesday February 28. Presentations will be held in 3rd grade classroom. Students will begin Chapter 4 from our textbooks this week. One assignment will be given through google classroom on Wednesday. COMPUTER SCIENCE (CODING) Students will begin working on Unit 3 on our coding lessons. Unit 3 will have students working with Loops, Conditionals,

WEEKLY REMINDERS MONDAY FEBRUARY 20 SCHOOL CLOSED FOR PRESIDENTS DAY. SCHOOL DISMISSIAL FOR ALL STUDENTS AT 2:45 PM FROM NOW UNTIL THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR.  TITLE 1 CLASSES WILL END AT 4:30 PM. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM WILL STILL RUN UNTIL 7PM. WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 23 IS ASH WEDENSDAY. SCHOOL MASS WILL BE HELD AT 10 AM. PARENTS ARE INVITED. THURSDAY IS A DRESS DOWN DAY FOR THE STUDENTS. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will review Chapter 3 on Tuesday and prepare for the chapter exam on Wednesday. Black History Month projects are cancelled due to the chaos this month. Students will continue working on their Explorers World Map project. Introduction to Chapter 4 will begin on Wednesday. COMPUTER SCIENCE (CODING) Students will continue working with Sphero Robots this week in class. Students will be working through different variables that will make students change their programming. Mr. T will be here this week working with students through Code Speaks. PHYSICAL EDUCATION (GYM) Gym classes

       WEEKLY REMINDERS Tuesday February 14 is Valentine's Day. Students will be allowed to dress up in the theme of the day. 3rd Grade students will be having a small party Tuesday afternoon following lunch. I will be collecting $5 dollars for pizza. Students can bring in candy or treats to give to their friends if they would like. Wednesday February 15 SCHOOL IS CLOSED! Due to professional development and repairs being made to the school boiler. Thursday February 16 is the 100th day of school. To celebrate the 8th grade students will be holding celebrations in the cafeteria. Students may dress up for the day. Friday February 17 SCHOOL IS CLOSED! Presidents day weekend. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will wrap up Chapter 3 this week. Students will begin reviewing for the chapter test on Monday.
