WEEKLY REMINDERS Monday, February 28 students are to be in FULL DRESS UNIFORM as we will all come together at mass for the death of Mrs. Fundora's husband. The school shall attend Mass at 11am Wednesday, March 2nd is Ash Wednesday. students will gather for mass at 10:30 am. It is also Dr. Seuss Day! Students may dress up with a Dr Seuss theme outfit. Friday, March 4th is an early dismissal day. Students will be dismissed at 12 pm Noon. Stations of the Cross will begin at 11:30 am. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will continue to work on Black History Month Projects this week. We will continue to gather information and build our in house project of Martin Luther King Jr. Students should continue to work on their project slideshow as projects will be presented March 7th. We will continue to review Chapter 3 on Friday to prepare for the Chapter exam on Wednesday March 9th. No homework will be given this week as students will continue to work on projects. WEEKLY REMINDERS Valentine's Day on Monday February 14. Students may wear red or pink clothes to celebrate the occasion. February 17 is the 100TH Day of School! Students will be given outline for Black History Month Projects. Several assignments will be posted on Google Classroom this week. DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY (CODING) Students by now should have completed lessons 1-20 on code.org. This week students will continue to learn new ways to code using minecraft.  Students will also be working on in class projects which is to make a game with scoring variables. WEEKLY REMINDERS Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Friday, February 11. Conferences will be held from 1pm to 6pm. Please make sure to use sign up sheet below to schedule a meeting. PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCE SIGN UP SHEET Students will be dismissed at 12pm Noon on Friday due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. A reminder that there is NO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM ON FRIDAY. Students will have to name the next 25 states on our map. As always, spelling counts!! Please make sure to practice writing the name of each state. We will continue to review chapter 3 from our textbooks, which discusses the Age of Exploration and European influence in North America. WEEKLY REMINDERS February 1 - Lunar New Year - School is OPEN February 3 - Feast of St. Blaise, mass at 9 AM February 4 - Early Dismissal for students K- 8th at 12 PM 5TH Grade Social Studies Students will be taking the first part of their map quiz. Students will be tested on the first 25 states of the map. Students should note that spelling will count as always, and should do their best to practice writing the names of these states. We will also be discussing chapter 3 from our textbook, which discusses the influences of European exploration to North America. We will be reviewing lessons 1-3 this week, and will be taking Vocabulary quiz for lesson 1 on Wednesday. Several homework assignments will be assigned through google classroom.
