4TH & 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES WEEK OF MARCH 22, 2021

  WEEKLY REMINDERS Easter Recess Begins at dismissal,  Friday March 26, 2021 School Resumes Monday April 12, 2021 March 25, 2021,  Mass at 9:00 AM  led by the students of the 8th grade Students are reminded to bring in plastic bags to pack up school items from their desks, as classrooms will be cleaned and disinfected during the break. Students are also reminded that REPORT CARDS will be given upon arrival from Easter Break. 4TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will be given their Unit 3 Exam on Monday. Exam will consist of questions based from Chapters 5-7. Students will also begin covering Unit 4 in our textbook. Unit 4 consists of the role New York played during the beginning of the Civil War in the United States. Chapter 8 is a very short chapter, so we will be moving along quickly with this chapter.   WEEKLY REMINDERS MONDAY, MARCH 15 EARLY DISMISSAL FOR STUDENTS K - 8. DISMISSAL AT 12 PM WEDNESDAY, MARCH 17 IS ST. PATRICK'S DAY. STUDENTS MAY WEAR GREEN! EASTER RECESS BEGINS NEXT FRIDAY, MARCH 26. 4TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will begin reviewing Unit 3 in class this week. Unit 3 consists of Chapters 5-7. Students please be aware that there will be lots of writing in class this week. We will cover chapters 5-7 the entire week. The Unit exam will be on Friday March 19. We will be working on Main Idea and Critical Thinking Questions all week. No homework shall be assigned this week, but students should use this time to study and prepare for the exam. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will begin covering chapter 7. Chapter 7 is about the 3rd and final set of colonies built in the early days of the Americas.
