WEEKLY REMINDERS Title 1 Extended Learning Program continues this week on its new schedule. Schedule will be posted on main school blog site as well as here, at the bottom of the page. Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15 - 5:00 PM  Grades 1, 3, 6, 7 and 8  Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:15 - 5:00 PM Grades Kindergarten, Grades 2,  4 and 5 TUESDAY September 28, NWEA MAP testing begins for grades K- 8TH. Students will be taking the Reading section of the test. THURSDAY September 30, NWEA MAP testing continues for grades 3- 8TH. Students will be taking the Language Arts portion of the test. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES      Last Friday, students were given a vocabulary quiz to gauge where they stand in their vocabulary comprehension skills. The quiz was given as a way to help prepare ourselves for the upcoming tests and quizzes this year, it will not be counted as a quiz grade, but as a classwork grade. We will review the quiz on Monday and determine what we need to do to improve our vocabulary comprehensi

WEEKLY REMINDERS Title 1 Extended Learning Program begins. 4TH grade will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays. There is no Title 1 classes on FRIDAYS! Paper menus will be given to students at the beginning of the week. Parents please make sure to check with the menus to see what will be given to students for lunch. Parents are reminded to join their child's' google classroom to see their work, and progress in class. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will begin reviewing key geographical terms as well as features of a map as we prepare to read Chapter 1 from our textbook. Students will have their very first vocabulary quiz of the year on FRIDAY, SEPT 24!! This will be a very easy mix n match quiz to get students used to taking quizzes again on google classroom. Please make sure to study all terms. I remind all students that classwork notes will be posted on google classroom for students who aren't able to copy notes during class. All notes given should be written down in classwork n

WEEKLY REMINDERS After School program begins today. Please make sure to sign up with Eric or in the office to have students join the program. Wednesday Sept 15, Church mass led by the 8th grade. Parents are welcomed. Friday, Sept 17 Parent signature pages are due in class. Please make sure to have all pages filled out and signed. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will begin working from the textbook, and begin learning how to set up their notebooks and homework for class. We will also begin reading the first chapter in our textbook. Please make sure to have all supplies with you. There will be two homework assignments given this week. It will be posted on google classroom later this week. As a reminder, I will be posting the textbook on google classroom for students' convenience. CODING (3rd grade- 8th grade) Students will begin working on familiarizing themselves with the structure of a computer, and how to properly use the keyboard.
