Gym & 5th Grade Social Studies

WEEKLY REMINDERS

SCHOOL CLOSED, MONDAY FEBRUARY 17 PRESIDENTS DAY

All classes are scheduled for Tuesday, please remember to wear your gym uniform!!
Wednesday, we will be hosting the 100th day celebration. Certain activities will be held in the auditorium during the day, so classes will be rescheduled in the morning.
Thursday and Friday shall follow a normal schedule. Please remember to wear FULL GYM UNIFORM.

5th graders, Chapter 5 test will be given on Friday. Please remember to read your notes and study guide. Critical Thinking questions will be given in class Tuesday. Vocabulary should be recognized by definition, as well as able to be used in a sentence. We will be going over everything in class the next few days before the test.

  WEEKLY REMINDERS START OF THE 4TH QUARTER. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP UP WITH ALL YOUR WORK AND FINISH THE YEAR STRONG! WEDNESDAY APRIL 26 is SECRETARY'S DAY. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO THANK OUR SECRETARY ALBA FOR ALL HER HARD WORK! ALL CLASSES ARE ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE THIS WEEK. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will begin wrapping up Unit 2 from our textbooks. We will review the idea of different cultures meeting and how cultural differences and competition for land led to conflicts among different groups of people in the Americas. Students will spend Monday and Tuesday reviewing the last two chapters, which will prepare us for the Unit 2 exam on Wednesday. We will then begin to examine Chapter 5: The 13 colonies. We have started to discuss how the first 13 colonies were made and who established these colonies. Two homework assignements will be given this week. Social Studies, Coding, Gym Week of October 11, 2021

WEEKLY REMINDERS October 11, School Closed, Columbus Day October 12, picture envelopes will given to students. Students must return envelopes to teacher for picture to be taken. October 13, National M&M's Day, students will receive M&M's from Mr. Woods. October 15, Early Dismissal for students K-8TH. PRE-K for All Program has regular dismissal. October 22, Progress Reports will be sent out to parents! 5th Grade Social Studies      Students will begin to work on their Hispanic Heritage Month Projects. Students will have to present slideshow about a person we celebrate during Hispanic heritage month.  We will spend three class periods discussing what information to include, how our slideshow should be presented, as well as how to outline information we find to include into our slides.
