5th Grade Social Studies

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!!

Today is our first day of remote learning. Please remember to log in to google classroom at the time of our scheduled class.

5th Grade Social Studies schedule is as follows, Monday- Friday 11:30 through 12:15 pm.

Remember, attendance will be taken at the start of class, so please remember to log in. Classwork shall be posted, and I will be active to answer all questions. We will have a class discussion on how things went on Friday with the chapter test, as well as things we can do to better manage the work remotely.

  WEEKLY REMINDERS START OF THE 4TH QUARTER. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP UP WITH ALL YOUR WORK AND FINISH THE YEAR STRONG! WEDNESDAY APRIL 26 is SECRETARY'S DAY. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO THANK OUR SECRETARY ALBA FOR ALL HER HARD WORK! ALL CLASSES ARE ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE THIS WEEK. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will begin wrapping up Unit 2 from our textbooks. We will review the idea of different cultures meeting and how cultural differences and competition for land led to conflicts among different groups of people in the Americas. Students will spend Monday and Tuesday reviewing the last two chapters, which will prepare us for the Unit 2 exam on Wednesday. We will then begin to examine Chapter 5: The 13 colonies. We have started to discuss how the first 13 colonies were made and who established these colonies. Two homework assignements will be given this week. Gym & 5th Grade Social Studies

Hello Everyone! I hope all is well while we continue to battle the Covid-19 pandemic. As we continue to live life, lots of changes we will have to work through. As you have heard from our principal, students will continue to have classes remotely on Google Classroom. We understand that there will have to be some adjustments made in order for students to receive their work as well as feedback from teachers. Please bare with us as we continue to provide an education for your child as best as we can. Blogs will be updated daily with materials, as well as homework for students to check on Google Classroom. For the time being, remote classes shall generally follow typical school schedules. 5th Grade Social Studies class will be held Monday-Friday at 11:15 am to 12:00pm.
