S.S. Week of March 29, 2020

WEEKLY REMINDERS
This is the last week before Easter break. I encourage students to do their best as we continue to work through remote learning. As always, students are reminded that homework will always be posted here and on google classroom after class is finished that day. Homework is always due by midnight throughout the week. Remember to be safe and vigilant as we fight Covid-19 together.

Students in 5th grade, we shall continue to work through chapter 7 this week. As we finish the lessons, I will provide the class with content focus summaries for the lesson to have an extra resource to gather and understand information.
I remind students to always reply to all posts or messages I send throughout the class as I use this information for participation grades.

3rd Grade Homeroom, 5th grade Social Studies, Coding & Physical Education Week of April 24, 2023

  WEEKLY REMINDERS START OF THE 4TH QUARTER. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP UP WITH ALL YOUR WORK AND FINISH THE YEAR STRONG! WEDNESDAY APRIL 26 is SECRETARY'S DAY. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO THANK OUR SECRETARY ALBA FOR ALL HER HARD WORK! ALL CLASSES ARE ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE THIS WEEK. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will begin wrapping up Unit 2 from our textbooks. We will review the idea of different cultures meeting and how cultural differences and competition for land led to conflicts among different groups of people in the Americas. Students will spend Monday and Tuesday reviewing the last two chapters, which will prepare us for the Unit 2 exam on Wednesday. We will then begin to examine Chapter 5: The 13 colonies. We have started to discuss how the first 13 colonies were made and who established these colonies. Two homework assignements will be given this week. Social Studies, Coding, Gym Week of October 11, 2021

WEEKLY REMINDERS October 11, School Closed, Columbus Day October 12, picture envelopes will given to students. Students must return envelopes to teacher for picture to be taken. October 13, National M&M's Day, students will receive M&M's from Mr. Woods. October 15, Early Dismissal for students K-8TH. PRE-K for All Program has regular dismissal. October 22, Progress Reports will be sent out to parents! 5th Grade Social Studies      Students will begin to work on their Hispanic Heritage Month Projects. Students will have to present slideshow about a person we celebrate during Hispanic heritage month.  We will spend three class periods discussing what information to include, how our slideshow should be presented, as well as how to outline information we find to include into our slides.
