WEEKLY REMINDERS June 21 is Awards Day at 1pm June 22 is Kindergarten Moving up Ceremony June 23 is the 8th Grade Ring Ceremony at 11AM June 24 is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOl. End of Year Mass at 10 AM Dismissal for all students at 12 NOON. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will be recapping what they have learned throughout the year. We will watch a few videos/documentaries of what happens after the 13 colonies were formed during the last few days of class. Digital Technology(Coding) I'm glad to say Coding class this year was a great improvement. Students were able to pick up on early computer programming skills fairly easily. We will continue to work with Sphero robots this week as well as next year! Physical Education(Gym) There will be no Gym classes this week due to the celebrations going on in the lunchroom this week. 3rd Grade Homeroom, 5th Grade Social Studies, Coding, & Physical Education Week of March 27, 2023

  WEEKLY REMINDER Easter Recess begins on Friday March 31 at dismissial. Dismissial at 2:45pm. Students return to school on Monday April 17th 2023. 3rd grade should start bringing in shopping bags to pack up their desks by Wednesday. Thursday March 30th will be a coding and gym day. Students please make sure to wear proper gym attire on Thursday. Friday March 31 the class will be having a party for the last before break. I will be collecting $5 from everyone for pizza. Money will be due by thursday. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will be wrapping up Chapter 4 in our textbooks. Monday and Tuesday we will be reveiwing lessons 3-4 and working on a number of assignments related to the Plymouth and French and Dutch colonies. The main ideas of these lessons is to understand how colonies built a form of self- government and what kind of relations they had with Native Americans. Gym Week of November 6, 2016

Reminder November 6 is Daylight savings. Turn clocks back hour!! November 8 is Election Day remember to vote for Hillary Clinton. Public schools are closed but WE ARE NOT!!! November 11 is Veterans' Day. School is closed!! This week we are implementing a new rule under article 43 of New York State DOE where kids from PreK thru 2nd grade are receiving an extra period of gym every single day.  This is due to the concern of rising obesity in children. We will be having a gym class where students are doing exercises for 30 mins aside from regular gym class.  Please bear with us while we do our best to implement this rule as quickly and efficient as possible.
