 WEEKLY REMINDERS

SCHOOL CLOSED MONDAY OCTOBER 12, 2020 COLUMBUS DAY!

GRADE LEVEL MEETINGS: 4TH GRADE WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 14 8:30-9:30 AM

NATIONAL "I LOVE LUCY" DAY THURSDAY OCTOBER 15. COME DRESSED UP AS YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER AND BE APART OF THE CONTEST!


4TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES

We will begin to wrap up Chapter 2 this week. Students will be taking vocabulary quiz on Thursday followed by the chapter test on Monday. Homework is as always posted on google classroom under the classwork tab. Students are reminded that report cards are only a month away! I have given ample time to those of us missing work to turn in any work they can. I have emailed several students about turning in work, and at this point if I have not received any late work it will be marked as a zero. Lets continue to do the best that we can!

5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES

This week in class we will continue to cover Chapter 2. Students will be taking their Vocabulary quiz on Wednesday, followed by Chapter Test the following week. As always, homework is posted in google classroom under the "classwork" tab. Students are reminded to report cards are being given in one months time. I have emailed several students about turning in any late work. At this point if I have not received any late work it will receive a zero. Please make sure to turn in your assignments!

  WEEKLY REMINDERS START OF THE 4TH QUARTER. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP UP WITH ALL YOUR WORK AND FINISH THE YEAR STRONG! WEDNESDAY APRIL 26 is SECRETARY'S DAY. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO THANK OUR SECRETARY ALBA FOR ALL HER HARD WORK! ALL CLASSES ARE ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE THIS WEEK. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will begin wrapping up Unit 2 from our textbooks. We will review the idea of different cultures meeting and how cultural differences and competition for land led to conflicts among different groups of people in the Americas. Students will spend Monday and Tuesday reviewing the last two chapters, which will prepare us for the Unit 2 exam on Wednesday. We will then begin to examine Chapter 5: The 13 colonies. We have started to discuss how the first 13 colonies were made and who established these colonies. Two homework assignements will be given this week. 5TH Grade Social Studies, Coding, & Physical Education Week of April 25, 2022

WEEKLY REMINDERS SCHOOL RESUMES MONDAY, APRIL 25TH 2022 Students in grades 3-8th will be taking the NYS MATH Exam on Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday April 27th is Secretary's Day. Make sure to thank Alba for all her hard work in the office! 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES We will be reviewing and wrapping up Chapter 4. We will spend Monday reviewing the take home chapter test given to everyone before the break. Wednesday April 27, we will begin to review Unit 2 from our textbook. Unit 2 consists of material from Chapters 3 and 4. The unit test will be given next week. After the Unit test we will begin the following Unit, which focuses on the 13 colonies. The flag below represents the original flag before the 50 states. No Homework will be given this week due to state testing. DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY (CODING) There will be no coding classes with Mr. Kevin this week due to state testing. Coding classes will resume next week.
