CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK!

SCHOOL CLOSED MONDAY FEB 1, 2021 - SNOW DAY

FRIDAY FEB 5, 2021 EARLY DISMISSAL FOR STUDENTS K- 8TH - Parent Teacher Conferences 1pm - 6pm

Report cards will be given out this week. I will be posting Parent/Teacher Conference meeting schedules on the blog for parents to sign up for. Please make sure you are signed up if you wish to speak to me on Friday. Students should be aware that this is the start of the 3rd quarter, and we should be focused on improving their grades. There is a number of students falling behind due to missing assignments and the reluctance to participate in class.  I have given students many opportunities to catch up and/or speak to me, but some of you have brushed off my emails. Please review your grades and comments I have given some of you and act appropriately to improve.

5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES
This week in class students will begin to cover chapter 6 in their textbook. We will begin the week by going over the chapter 5 exam. Many students have been particularly lackadaisical with their work. Students will have an opportunity to improve their exam grade with corrections on Tuesday. We will also be watching YouTube videos describing the life in the middle colonies of the United States.

5TH GRADE S.S. Homework
Students will have Chapter 6 Vocabulary and Lesson 1 Review Questions due this week.

4TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES
Students will be continuing to read Chapter 6 in their textbook. We will finish watching the last episode of "Liberty Kids" and explain how the Constitution was written. Chapter 6 is a very short chapter, so everyone needs to stay on top of the assignments. We will be reviewing the chapter all week. Vocabulary quiz will be taken on Friday.

4TH GRADE S.S. HOMEWORK
Students have Lesson Review Questions due this week.

3rd Grade Homeroom, 5th grade Social Studies, Coding & Physical Education Week of April 24, 2023

  WEEKLY REMINDERS START OF THE 4TH QUARTER. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP UP WITH ALL YOUR WORK AND FINISH THE YEAR STRONG! WEDNESDAY APRIL 26 is SECRETARY'S DAY. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO THANK OUR SECRETARY ALBA FOR ALL HER HARD WORK! ALL CLASSES ARE ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE THIS WEEK. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will begin wrapping up Unit 2 from our textbooks. We will review the idea of different cultures meeting and how cultural differences and competition for land led to conflicts among different groups of people in the Americas. Students will spend Monday and Tuesday reviewing the last two chapters, which will prepare us for the Unit 2 exam on Wednesday. We will then begin to examine Chapter 5: The 13 colonies. We have started to discuss how the first 13 colonies were made and who established these colonies. Two homework assignements will be given this week. 5TH Grade Social Studies, Coding, & Physical Education Week of April 25, 2022

WEEKLY REMINDERS SCHOOL RESUMES MONDAY, APRIL 25TH 2022 Students in grades 3-8th will be taking the NYS MATH Exam on Tuesday and Thursday. Wednesday April 27th is Secretary's Day. Make sure to thank Alba for all her hard work in the office! 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES We will be reviewing and wrapping up Chapter 4. We will spend Monday reviewing the take home chapter test given to everyone before the break. Wednesday April 27, we will begin to review Unit 2 from our textbook. Unit 2 consists of material from Chapters 3 and 4. The unit test will be given next week. After the Unit test we will begin the following Unit, which focuses on the 13 colonies. The flag below represents the original flag before the 50 states. No Homework will be given this week due to state testing. DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY (CODING) There will be no coding classes with Mr. Kevin this week due to state testing. Coding classes will resume next week. We are still waiting for the rest of the Ipads to come in to begin work
