WEEKLY REMINDERS

MONDAY, MARCH 15 EARLY DISMISSAL FOR STUDENTS K - 8. DISMISSAL AT 12 PM

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 17 IS ST. PATRICK'S DAY. STUDENTS MAY WEAR GREEN!

EASTER RECESS BEGINS NEXT FRIDAY, MARCH 26.


4TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES

Students will begin reviewing Unit 3 in class this week. Unit 3 consists of Chapters 5-7. Students please be aware that there will be lots of writing in class this week. We will cover chapters 5-7 the entire week. The Unit exam will be on Friday March 19. We will be working on Main Idea and Critical Thinking Questions all week. No homework shall be assigned this week, but students should use this time to study and prepare for the exam.


5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES

Students will begin covering chapter 7. Chapter 7 is about the 3rd and final set of colonies built in the early days of the Americas. We will be reading lessons together in class this week, and notes will be given during these readings viz Google Classroom. Please make sure to stay attentive and proactive during class. Notes should be written on notebook as I post on Google Classroom. Students will have a large load of homework this week, so please stay on top of your work.

3rd Grade Homeroom, 5th grade Social Studies, Coding & Physical Education Week of April 24, 2023

  WEEKLY REMINDERS START OF THE 4TH QUARTER. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP UP WITH ALL YOUR WORK AND FINISH THE YEAR STRONG! WEDNESDAY APRIL 26 is SECRETARY'S DAY. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO THANK OUR SECRETARY ALBA FOR ALL HER HARD WORK! ALL CLASSES ARE ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE THIS WEEK. 5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES Students will begin wrapping up Unit 2 from our textbooks. We will review the idea of different cultures meeting and how cultural differences and competition for land led to conflicts among different groups of people in the Americas. Students will spend Monday and Tuesday reviewing the last two chapters, which will prepare us for the Unit 2 exam on Wednesday. We will then begin to examine Chapter 5: The 13 colonies. We have started to discuss how the first 13 colonies were made and who established these colonies. Two homework assignements will be given this week. Social Studies, Coding, Gym Week of October 11, 2021

WEEKLY REMINDERS October 11, School Closed, Columbus Day October 12, picture envelopes will given to students. Students must return envelopes to teacher for picture to be taken. October 13, National M&M's Day, students will receive M&M's from Mr. Woods. October 15, Early Dismissal for students K-8TH. PRE-K for All Program has regular dismissal. October 22, Progress Reports will be sent out to parents! 5th Grade Social Studies      Students will begin to work on their Hispanic Heritage Month Projects. Students will have to present slideshow about a person we celebrate during Hispanic heritage month.  We will spend three class periods discussing what information to include, how our slideshow should be presented, as well as how to outline information we find to include into our slides. Projects will be due October 20!           Students will also be reviewing chapter 1 from their textbook. There will be two homework assignments given this week. Students should also be work
