4TH & 5TH Grade Social Studies Week of May 10, 2021
WEEKLY REMINDERS
Mental Health Awareness Week....STAY WOKE!
Tuesday May 11 - MAP TESTING for students in 3rd-8th
Thursday May 13 - Ascension Thursday, Mass at 9 am
Friday May 14 - Early Dismissal for all students at 12 pm!
The countdown begins....there is about 7 weeks of school left, but this is no time to let the foot off the pedal. There is still ample amount of time for students to catch up on late work, and do whatever we need to do in order to improve grades. Students feel free to talk to me in school to see what we can do to help your grades, or send me an email.
It is also Mental Health Awareness Week! This week is especially important due to concerns with the pandemic. Make sure to take care of yourselves, and talk to someone if you have any kind of problems. Your teachers are here to help you!
Students will be taking the MAP Test this week as well. MAP Testing will be given to grades 3-8th in the Language Arts category.
4TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES
Students will continue to work on Chapter 9 from their textbook. The chapter 9 vocabulary quiz will be given on Monday! Please make sure to study all 15 words from the chapter. During the week, we will be working on chapter study guides and reviewing the power point. We will also be taking a in class Quizizz to prepare for the chapter test. Chapter test will be given next week. No homework will be given this week.
5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES
Students will begin reading Chapter 8 in their textbook. Chapter 8 consists of The American Revolution. This is a very informative chapter, so students please be ready to work through lots of information next two weeks. Throughout the chapter reading, we will be watching episodes of "Liberty Kids" to better familiarize ourselves with the topic of the chapter.
5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES HOMEWORK
