WEEKLY REMINDERS EARLY DISMISSAL FOR ALL STUDENTS FRIDAY DECEMBER 20 This is the last week of school before Christmas break. There will be numerous events going on this week, so please pay attention to the changes in the schedules. I will be in classrooms this week, so there will be no gym classes except for Tuesday afternoon. All other gym classes will be rescheduled this week. Successmaker is up and running again. Students will begin working on the program this week. I will also be going around showing teachers how to use the program. 5th graders will still have social studies classes with me upstairs. Vocabulary quiz will be on Wednesday December 18. We will be reviewing Lesson 1 and 2 review questions this week as well. Please remember to have everything with you. Weekly Reminders Gym classes shall remain normal this week, except for Monday December 9. We will be having mass at 9am. Morning classes will be rescheduled. As always, please remember to wear FULL GYM UNIFORM. Full gym uniform consists of navy blue shirt with school emblem, navy blue sweatpants with school emblem, and a pair of sneakers. In other news, I am very pleased to see more and more girls be active and actually participate in the activities we play during gym class. Like I have said before, all that matters is that you participate and try your best. Participation is a major part of grading for Physical Education. 5th graders will be taking their chapter 3 test which was rescheduled for Monday December 9. Please remember to study all our review notes, study guide, and the powerpoint which is on our google classroom. We will also be moving into Chapter 4 this week. WEEKLY REMINDERS Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Now it is time to work off those calories!! It will be a full week of gym classes for everyone. Please remember to wear FULL GYM UNIFORM!!! That includes navy blue shirt with school emblem, navy blue pants with school emblem, and a pair of sneakers. Parents are reminded that this does affect class participation grades.  5th Grade will have a very busy week. Since we did not get to have our vocabulary quiz last week, the quiz has been postponed until Tuesday, December 3. We will then review the chapter for the next two days, and prepare for the chapter test on Friday, December 6. I will check review questions as well as workbook pages on Monday. WEEKLY REMINDERS SCHOOL CLOSED THURSDAY NOVEMBER 28, and FRIDAY NOVEMBER 29 THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY. There is only 3 days of school this week because of the Thanksgiving Holiday. There will be numerous events going on this week, so I will explain what will happen. Monday November 25, we shall be having Native American Presentations in the lunchroom. Gym classes shall be rescheduled for the morning. Tuesday November 26, the PreK students shall be having their Hispanic Heritage Presentations. Gym Classes shall be rescheduled for that morning as well. Wednesday November 27, the school will hold mass in the morning followed by Honors Assembly. Students shall have Thanksgiving parties in their homerooms, so there will be no gym classes.  5th Grade students should have Lessons 1, and 2 review questions done in their CLASSWORK NOTEBOOKS for me to check on Monday. WEEKLY REMINDERS EARLY DISMISSAL FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22 REPORT CARD MEETINGS 1pm-6pm Monday is Mickie & Minnie Mouse Birthday, so students can dress up as their favorite character. Gym is still regularly scheduled, so please be aware of that. If you want to change into gym clothes it is ok but not necessary. Optional gym clothes will be allowed Monday only! Students who receive their report cards on Friday shall see that some of their grades have slipped because many of us do not wear proper gym uniform. Please remember proper uniform which is navy blue shirt and sweatpants with school emblem on it. Anything else will result in points off your overall grade for the class.  All classes are regularly scheduled except for Friday. Friday there shall be no gym classes for anyone after 9am. WEEKLY REMINDERS: NO SCHOOL MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11 VETERANS DAY EARLY DISMISSAL FOR STUDENTS K-8 on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15 All grades will have gym class as scheduled. Please make sure to wear your gym uniform on the day you are scheduled to have gym. Students are reminded that the second quarter has begun. It is very easy to keep the A you start with, in turn it is very easy to lose your A. Let us try to remember the rules and always above everything DO YOUR BEST!! 5th Graders This week we will be having our Chapter 2 test. We will be reviewing materials given out in class as well as documents on google classroom to prepare for the test. After the test is done I will be talking more in depth about the Native American projects which will be due next week. We will also be covering Chapter 3 starting Thursday. Weekly Reminders SCHOOL CLOSED Wednesday, November 6 Gym classes shall be held as scheduled throughout the week. Please remember to wear gym uniform. Tuesday, November 5, we will be holding the last of the Hispanic Heritage Presentations.  It shall be held in the library at 9am. The 3 students that will be presenting shall be Victoria Cerda, Ceaser Lopez, Noris Espinoza. Please remember to practice your presentations! Mondays' vocabulary quiz is moved to Tuesday, please remember to study all 34 words for the quiz. The quiz will consist of 16 mix and match statements in which students will choose a word from the word bank. As for the Chapter Test, please make sure to log on to Goggle Classroom to see the study guide. We shall review Chapter 2 topics all week, and test shall be given on Friday, November 8.
