3rd Grade Homeroom, 5th grade Social Studies, Coding & Physical Education Week of April 24, 2023
WEEKLY REMINDERS
- START OF THE 4TH QUARTER. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP UP WITH ALL YOUR WORK AND FINISH THE YEAR STRONG!
- WEDNESDAY APRIL 26 is SECRETARY'S DAY. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO THANK OUR SECRETARY ALBA FOR ALL HER HARD WORK!
- ALL CLASSES ARE ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE THIS WEEK.
5TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES
- Students will begin wrapping up Unit 2 from our textbooks. We will review the idea of different cultures meeting and how cultural differences and competition for land led to conflicts among different groups of people in the Americas.
- Students will spend Monday and Tuesday reviewing the last two chapters, which will prepare us for the Unit 2 exam on Wednesday.
- We will then begin to examine Chapter 5: The 13 colonies. We have started to discuss how the first 13 colonies were made and who established these colonies.
- Two homework assignements will be given this week. Please look towards google classroom for more information.
COMPUTER SCIENCE (CODING)
- Students will continue working on Code projects on Code.org this week. Students will be using there knowledge of building a coded program to build a virtual world.
- Mr.T will also be here this week to continue working with students with Code Speak.
- Students will be working on new projects with Mr.T this week.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION (GYM)
- Gym classes are on schedule this week. All classes will be held on Friday April 28.
- Students will continue our traditional power circuit using kettlebells, weighted vests, resistance bands, and slamballs.
- Students are reminded to come in Gym uniform on Friday.
